“It does need to be safe to talk about population.” Population Media Center‘s Bill Ryerson sums it up in this segment about the “population taboo” from the documentary, GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth. PMC’s Katie Elmore also articulates it quite well. Too many journalists, politicians, environmentalists and humanitarians are afraid to even talk about overpopulation. There is nothing wrong with admitting we have too many people on the planet. Overpopulation is real. It’s not an exclusively brown, black, or white problem. It’s not limited to poor countries or impoverished people. It’s everywhere. It’s an equal opportunity problem. The good news is, we can begin fixing it today – humanely and voluntarily. Please take a look and share this video around as we observe World Population Day this week.
